Dear friends and neighbours,
We would like to encourage you to submit an objection to Greenwich Council because this is how a democratic society should function. You should have the right to decide if you want your environment tainted with radio and microwave energy signal beams, especially within your homes and especially when these cannot be switched off and will be active 24/7. We would like to encourage you to find out more about the proposed transmitters by contacting St John's church, asking to see their plans. Have they displayed the yellow notice to inform residents? This should have been displayed for 28 days. Did you see it? Did you get notification through your door about the proposal? Have you seen the Council notifications on lamp posts? All these points may be used in your objection to the Council as they are required procedure and if not they will have not complied with due process. You will see under the button "Objections Guidance for Greenwich Council" I have included text from Greenwich Council Core Strategy. You can cite any of these points to object to the Mast. Ask yourself if the points have been complied with. If not, you can state that policy has not been followed/ or that the plan is in breach of Greenwich Core Strategy and give details of your points. You may also want to include objection on health grounds which should follow the Precautionary Principle. See button for Precautionary Principle and you'll find details about this - follow the index. You can also object over environmental grounds and especially in relation to trees. See the buttons for Trees - damage caused by radiofrequencies to cite these as objections. OBJECTIONS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED BY 5TH OCTOBER AT THE VERY LATEST

Dear friends and supporters, We are delighted to let you know that we had a successful day at the pre-hearing where we had the opportunity to argue that the community hadn't been given adequate notice. The Chancellor conceded to this point and as a result a notice will be displayed on the Public Notice Board outside St James' Church so that all residents are informed and know the procedure to follow should they wish to object to the telecommunication proposal. We are so pleased that we were able to ensure that a lawful procedure is followed, which is the right of every person in our community. Thank you to all our supporters for their donations - without us all pulling together it wouldn't have been possible so a huge Thank you goes out to you all.
